Meibomian gland expression

Heated manual expression

Many types of dry eye are linked to blocked oil glands in the eyelids. Gentle expression helps clear thickened oils and encourages healthier oils to flow into the tear film.

Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)

Stimulating tear production

LLLT is often used alongside other treatments to support tear production and improve overall tear gland health. It uses photobiomodulation to gently stimulate the glands.

Intense Pulse Light IPL Therapy

COMING SOON!

IPL uses gentle flashes of light on the skin around the eyes to help warm and open the oil glands. Treatment is quick, carried out in clinic, and most people feel only mild warmth.

We do do not currently offer this in clinic, but this treatment will be available soon.

Specialist support for more complex dry eye

A wider care pathway

Dry eye can sometimes be influenced by wider health, skin, nutrition or hormonal factors. Through The Arzen Collective, we can connect pateinets with trusted specialist input where appropriate.

Some patients need more than standard dry eye treatment. Where symptoms are more complex, persistent or linked to wider health factors, we can guide you towards the most appropriate next step.

Advanced care options

For symptoms that are not improving with conventional treatment, private ophthalmology consultations may be available following full clinical assessment. These appointments are held monthly and booked in person only.

Punctal occlusion

Aqueous deficiency

For patients who do not produce enough tears, punctal occlusion can help tears stay on the eye for longer by slowing drainage. This may be done using small filler or surgical plugs.

OPTILENZ Amniotic membrane

Advanced corneal support

For damaged or slow-healing corneal tissue, amniotic membrane therapy can support healing and comfort. It is considered for more complex symptoms or recovery following clinical assessment.
